I got admitted to both Esade(CEMS) International Management and Warwick Business School for Postgraduate Management of Information Systems and Digital Innovation. I desperately need some advice and guidance on which school presents the better option career wise. My goal is to either get into MBB or the strategy department of a tech firm. Any help is appreciated!

Hi Jonathan,
you ask the right question: Which business school offers you the better career options?
This is the right approach in my opinion and the first step is to define which career you wish to pursue in the long-term and in the short-term. Concretely, how would the ideal position look like directly after graduation and what would you ideal employer be?
- Once you have this clear you can evaluate each school's career profile:
- Which employers recruit on the respective campuses?
- Where do the schools' graduates start their careers after their studies?
- How many students with your background (nationality etc.) get a position similar to your ideal position?
And how many find an employer similar to your target employer?
How do you get this information?
In my MIM eBook I give you several tips - for instance:
- Check the schools' yearly career reports
- Ask the schools to bring you in contact with alumni
- Use the Financial Times MIM Ranking and create a sub-ranking according to your criteria
- Screen the schools' websites and the career pages for employers
- Contact your target employer and ask if they recruit at your target schools
etc.
Best wishes,

Hello all,
I recently had 3 offers from IESE, Esade and IE for a Master in Managment.
I'm really happy but it's really hard to make a choice... and I would love to have your opinion. From what I understood, IESE brand recognition is really more important than Esade and IE, especially in the US.
But the MiM program is new and I don't really know what it's worth. It's also around 45k€.IE Madrid looks good, but the fees are important and a lot of people are telling me that MiM selectivity is quite low. On the other hand, Esade is cheaper and seems pretty similar to IE but I have read that the Univ is not that well regarded internationally.
Given that I want to continue on to an Msc in the USA to work there, do you think that the choice of MiM makes a big difference? I know that US recruiters don't pay much attention to European schools.
Thanks for your help !

Hi there,
there are several components that play into your decision. For example, the costs, the place you want to work after the Master, overall your career goals - and I also suggest your experience goals.
I recommend you to carefully read my e-guidebook Business Masters - How you find the best Master in Management and MBA. It provides you with the tools to weigh these components and to place them into an order that makes sense for you - and overall, to make a solid decision.
If you want a quick shot, however, here is one: If you want to work in the US directly after your studies, I would choose a program in the US or Canada.
Best wishes,

Hey everyone, recently I got accepted to the MiM at IESE as well as the Masters of Digital Business in ESADE. I am waiting on St. Gallen, HEC Paris, LBS, INSEAD and ESCP.
How should I prioritize these?
Some information about me:
I am an Indian citizen who grew up abroad. I would like to work in Europe, US or Canada. I am native in English and B1 in German but would definitely prefer an English speaking country to work in. So I'm ideally looking for a university which if not in these places, has a good level of placement to these regions.
I am looking to get into consulting at one of the MBBs, so one which is respected by the MMBs would be a great plus. Thank you all for your help.Posted by - thomas.graf - on 26 January 2023 - 8:28am
Hello,
in my post below I already gave suggestions on how to decide among schools. Most importantly, I recommend building your own personal criterion, whether career-based, experience-based, resource-based or intuition-based.
Career-based: Choosing a campus in a country where you want to work afterwards makes sense. Now, can you clarify on which campus your favorite employers recruit? Or where the graduates of a certain school start to work after graduation? How many people from yoru country managed to stay in the country after graduation? Tip: Ask the schools and search for the career reports on their websites.
If you want to get into consulting: Which school has the best connections to consulting firms?
And so on...You understand the logic. Now it's time to do the job and investigate along your criteria lines...

Hello everyone,
I've been admitted to these programs:
-Master in global management at ESMT
-CEMS Master in international management at UCD
-Master in management at Montpellier Business SchoolAll these schools are triple accredited, and on the top in rankings, in particular the first two.
In your opinion, which one should I choose?Posted by - thomas.graf - on 26 January 2023 - 8:23am
Hi there,
there are several criteria based on which you can make your decision as I outline in my MIM ebook .
Most importantly, these criteria should be YOUR criteria. This is the best approach to guarantee that you won't regret your decsion afterwards.
One criterion can be linked to your career goals. For instance, do your favorite employers recruit on the respective campus? In which country do you want to work after graduation and which of the respective schools has a better reputation there?
Another criterion can be linked to your experience goals. For example, in which of the three countries do you want to spend a year of your life?
Another criterion can be linked to your gut feeling. Vsit each campus and ask yourself: Where do I feel better?
