The Location

Your courses will largely take place on the EBS campus. Close to the River Rhine, you will experience the unique atmosphere of a business school located in one of the most picturesque regions of Germany, the "Rheingau", yet in close proximity to Frankfurt, the cosmopolitan city at the heart of Europe.

Financial Aid

It is EBS declared aim to give all interested individuals, regardless of their economic situation, the opportunity to study at the University. To this end, the University offers a wide range of financial assistance options. We are committed to helping our students finance their studies at EBS:

  • EBSolute Excellence Scholarships
    EBS awards scholarships to Master's students. These scholarships are merit-based and means-tested.
  • eXebs Education Fund
    For EBS students unable to fund their study programme at EBS out of their own resources, eXebs has established the eXebs Education Fund that covers the cost of tuition fees for eXebs fellows at EBS during their entire course of study.
  • eXebs Friedrich J. Schoening International Scholarship supported by DAAD
    In cooperation with the investment bank Greenhill & Co. and the DAAD, eXebs awards each year 25 scholarships to support the living expenses of outstanding foreign students from developing countries.
  • Votum Foundation
    The Votum Foundation is an orphans foundation that supports orphans, children of a widowed parent or children of divorced parents, and social orphans up to the age of 27.
  • Student finance schemes
    Students at EBS may apply for support through student finance schemes offered by different banking institutions.
  • Other funding possibilities
    EBS students are, of course, able to apply for support and funding from all foundations in the public domain. Those wishing to apply for support through the Federal Training Assistance Act (BAföG), should contact the Studentenwerk Frankfurt am Main.

  • FT Master in Management Ranking - 2016
    In the current Global Masters in Management Ranking, published by the Financial Times, EBS Business School at EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht is ranked 12th worldwide. This confirms the high quality of EBS’s Master in Management programme for the third time in a row. EBS is ranked in second place in Germany .
  • U-multirank 2014
    U-Multirank has placed EBS among the top three German universities in the categories of Research (as measured by top cited publications) and International Orientation (as measured by student mobility). In the category of International Orientation, we are also among the Top 25 in the global ranking.
  • CHE Master Ranking 2014
    In the current Masters in Business Ranking, carried out by the Centre for Higher Education Development (CHE), EBS Business School ranks among the best in Germany. EBS has achieved excellent ratings in the categories: overall study conditions, range of subjects, studyability, support from teaching staff and international orientation. Of all the institutions that took part in the ranking, EBS Business School places in the top group in 12 out of 14 categories. Top marks were awarded for the practical and academic relevance of studies, number of participants in lectures as well as the international focus of the programmes on offer. In the category, professional relevance, assistance with transition into employment (Career Services), soft skills training among others, also received excellent ratings.
  • FT European Business Schools Ranking 2015
    The Business School of the EBS University is again one of the best business schools in the whole of Europe: in the current Financial Times “European Business School Rankings 2015” it is placed 51st out of 85 schools; this follows up last year’s positive result. As regards “Masters in Management”, the EBS achieved a further improvement on last year: in the subcategory which rates the masters course the EBS came tenth in Europe. And in the “Faculty” category, which takes particular account of the proportion of female teaching staff, the international dimension of the school, and the number of doctoral candidates, the University improved on its 2014 standing. Thus, the EBS continues to rank among the top five business schools in Germany.



In May 2012, EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht was granted 10-year accreditation by the German Council of Science and Humanities. This academic seal of approval is awarded to private higher education institutions whose teaching and research performance meet recognized academic standards. Depending on the outcome of the accreditation process, accreditation is granted for a maximum term of ten years.


All study programmes at EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht are state-recognized and accredited by the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA). State approval of Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes is a prerequisite for accreditation by one of the ten accreditation agencies operating in German-speaking countries.
