I want to know if I should try? Or is it very low GPA for this MIM program ?
Please evaluate my profile for the above program and also provide some useful suggestions

      Hi there,

thank you for your message. First of all, I strongly recommend you to read my MIM eBook carefully. It will take you some hours of concentrated work but it will help you to re-think about Masters in Management and your application process throroughly - whether you apply for the ESSEC MIM or at any other business school.

Next, many quality schools (and you will read in my eBook what I mean with "quality" and how you identify them) have strong expectations on prior academic achievements, and some of them also on the GMAT score. There is a second group of quality schools, however, that relaxes the prior academic achievements condition a bit and looks at the cv as a whole.

For the first group, you probably have no chance to get in. For the second, you will have - particularly if you achieve an above average GMAT score - I suggest 650 or more (mock exams often are misleading as they may give you higher scores than the real GMAT exam).

Now, after reading my eBook and after understanding and internalizing my methodology to find MIM programs (as outlined in the book) you may want to apply at one or two schools more than at ESSEC only.

The question remains how much ESSEC emphasizes the academic grade - and I guess that your grade may be too weak for them, given that the ESSEC is a Grand Ecoles in France (check Wikipedia to learn what this is). If ESSEC is very important for you I suggest that you contact them (phone or email) and openly ask them. Say that you are very interested in their program but that you have doubts because of your GPA. Then attach your CV and ask them politely for a pre-check.

Again: Read my eBook CAREFULLY and think about it for some days.

      Best wishes
      Thomas
