there are many ways to assess he quality of a MM program or an institution. For instance, with the international accreditations AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA you can check if a school/program teaches according to international management education standards. With rankings such as the FT MIM Ranking, you can check some visibility and recognition vis-a-vis peer groups.

At the end of the day, however, the only relevant question (in my opinion) is: What's the best program FOR YOU?

I define "for you" as "according to your goals". For example, which program provides you with the most benefits so that you reach your career goals after graduation - and taking into account your resources (financial resources, time, etc.).

A MIM program may be on a top ranking position - but what does this help you if your favorite employer or employers from your favorite industries (where you wanna work after graduating) don't recruit from that specific school...?

The main steps, hence, are: (1) Assessing your goals and (2) Asessing your ressources. As a result you will have an "ideal MIM program" defined so that you can (3) search for MIM programs that come close to your ideal. (4) Assessing MIM programs and finding the program that best fits your ideal program. (5) Applying for 3-5 of your top programs.
