MBA or MIM?

Thank you for a great webbsite!

I have some questions regarding the choice between a mim or an mba. I am looking for a career change after working all together 7 years in the heritage industry; 2 in Europe and 5 at deputy management level in the Middle East. I am interested in opening up new doors into the business world while taking advantage of my previous career and international experience. I have no previous encounters with classical business subjects such as accounting etc; instead I hold a degree in arts/humanities from Europe. I am thus wondering which program would be more suitable for me: an mba or a mim? I am quite open to different paths, but I am looking for a careeer in management.

How diverse is the background in these different programmes, are these programmes also useful for people from a more diverse background than business?

Also, how important are the rankings of the different schools? are they worth taking note of?

    Thanks so much in advance!
