Master in Manamgement without GMAT

  • Posted by - Heinz - on 19 December 2011 - 3:05pm

Could you please give me a list of all the business schools that offer a master in management and do not require a GMAT as application condition?
Which CEMS business schools do not require a GMAT as application condition?
Have you got any comments from students about the master in management at Michael Smurfit Business School at the University College Dublin(UCD)?
    Thank you for your answer

        Hi there,

not sure if I understand your question. To find out if these schools require the GMAT for specific programs, just check the admissions criteria on their site. To analyze them, just follow my methodology in my MIM eBook.

        Have a good weekend

            Hi there,

I always recommend a different approach. Instead of searching for schools that do not require the GMAT, I recommend following the strategy that I outlined in my MIM eBook. First specify your ideal program, based on the benefits it should provide you with so that you achieve your career goals. Then search for schools that should be on your short list. Then check the requirements and see which school you keep on your short list. This is much smarter and target oriented - and maybe you like a school so much that you are willing to apply there and fulfill certain requirements such as the GMAT.

            Best wishes
            Thomas

      Dear Heinz,

thank you for your question. However, I have to disappoint you. I can not tell you all business schools that do not require the GMAT nor can I say this for the CEMS schools at the moment. We may know more about this in a study in spring, however, and then publish it at the MIM-COMPASS.

      Actually, you approach should be:

      • Think about which 3, 5 or 8 schools are interesting for you - e.g. because they are in an interesting country, have a nice ranking position, a reputation, or reasonable tuition fees etc.
      • THEN sort those out which do not require the GMAT.

Based on a Forum conversation from last week I know that none of the following schools requires the GMAT: Hult international Business School, Ashridge Business School, Manchester Business School, and Warwick Business School. But this is just a small group and you may find many more.

As for Michael Smurfit, I don't have a student comment but I can bring you in contact with our contact at the Michael Smurfit Admissions office if you want.

      Best wishes
      Thomas
