Executive MBA or MSC public leadership and management

    Hello,

I agree. The key question is whether you want to do a general management MBA or a specialized Master. And one way to make the decision can be the questions:

    • What do you want to learn / What competences do you wish to acquire?
    • Which competences would increase the likelihood that you achieve your career goals directly after the MBA or Master?

For more information on the difference between MBA and Master and on "How to find the best program", please read my guidebook Business Masters - How you find the best Master in Management and MBA would make a lot of sense.

    Hi,
I have been accepted to undertake the senior leadership apprenticeship through my LA and have been given two options to choose from.

The first is via Leeds Beckett University and offers the MBA alongside the senior leadership apprenticeship award and registration with CMI upon completion.

The second option is via Birminghan University and seems much tailored to public sector leadership. Here you come away with an MSc in public management, CMI diploma in strategic management and leadership and membership of CMI.

Birmingham is more expensive at £18,000 compared to Leeds at £15,000 however this fully paid for so cost isnt an issue.

Having read the courses and spoken with tutors I am still really undecided. The main difference is obviously an MBA vs MSc.

    Thanks
