Cambridge without funding vs French School (EDHEC/ESSEC/EMLYON) with full funding

I am an international student deciding between a professional master at Cambridge Judge Business School and fully funded PhD in one of the French schools. I am equally inclined towards consulting (incase I choose the Cambridge master) or academic career (incase I choose the PhD). Can anyone suggest which program can offer a better career chances in Europe for international students? Is the Cambridge brand leverage worth GBP 35k (I can pay off without loan)? Any direct experience with these schools would be highly useful.

    Thanks a lot in advance.

      Hi there,

before you decide about the program, you have to decide what sort of career you want to puruse after your studies. Is it a business career - e.g., in consulting - or is it an academic career as expressed by achieving a professor position, doing research, publishing articles in academic journals and teaching?

Once you have clarified this, you can search for appropriate programs and schools. Just asking which of the two programs listed above provides better career options does not make sense as they are not comparable - simply because they provide different benefits and career options.

      Best wishes
      Thomas
