I am currently doing my engineering from India and want to pursue masters in management .I will graduate in 2014.So far, I have not done any internship but this year I have got an opportunity to work at a company in Russia for a period of 6 weeks in summer. This would be a social and management internship which I am getting through AIESEC (An international student organization). So will this internship would any how help me with the admission process?

      Hi there,

for a master in management (MIM) you don't need work experience. Hence, formally, this 6 weeks summer internship might have no effect on your admissions process.

On the other hand, it is always good to gain experience and I recommend you to do so. You learn something in this internship and you can build a network. And at the end of the day, maybe someone at a school's admissions office, will perceive this internship as an expression of your commitment and interest and, hence, prefer you over someone with the same grades but without the internship.

      Best wishes
