hey i am a mechanical engineering graduate. i scored 58% from an indian university.
i am very much interested in doing mim from a good school albeit my score is pretty low
and i have not yet given a gmat test
    i secured 7.5 in ielts
would it be worth applying to colleges this year or should i do it next year as the last rounds have already started.
but since my graduation year is 2016, would applying for sept 2018 intake make me ineligible?

      Hi there,

there are many different business schools worldwide with even more programs - and each school has different requirements. For some, the final grade in your undergrad studies play the major role; other emphasize more what practical experiences you have or what extracurricular activities your CV shows; some have stricter requirements, some weaker.

I recommend you to read by two eBooks on Masters in Management: (1) Business Masters: How you find the right Master in Management or MBA? and (2) The MIM: ENtry requirements for the Master in Management.

Particularly the latter will provide you with a profound knowledge on what the schools expect from you. Based on that you can decide (1) whoch schools are more apt for your specific CV and (2) whether trying to optimize your GMAT etc. first would make sense. At the end of the day, it all depends on the specific school where you want to study - and its requirements.

Regarding your last question, you cannot apply for an 2018 intake now; you can only apply fro the 2017 intake.

      Best wishes,
      Thomas
