GMAT vs GRE

Does writing the GRE put me at a disadvantage compared to those who have written the GMAT?

Hi there,
thank you for your question. It depend son the school's requirements.
If the school requires neither the GRE nor the GMAT, you don't need to take the test.
If the school requires the GMAT only then you need to do the GMAT - GRE does not help.
If the school allows for both tests, then the GRE is no disadvantage over the GMAT.best wishes
