      Hi Thomas,

I am from India, I want to apply for MiM Grande ecole at HEC, ESCP and ESSEC.I have a CGPA of 9.5 (not from top university though) , and a couple of co curricular activities, voluntary & internship experiences.
I have taken GMAT and scored a 670

I am really interested in the program at HEC but not sure if my profile is a good fit considering high average GMAT of the school.
I would be applying now and taking the interview through SAI sometime next month. That gives me about one month to give my last shot at any preparations.
Could you suggest how I can make my profile better and what I could do to present myself better at the interview?
Also do you think my GMAT score would be a big hindrance ? Is it advisable that I mention in my optional essay that I can retake the GMAT if that is the only detrimental factor in my application ?

      Any help would be appreciated.

        Hi there,

I recommend you to read my eBook "MIM Entry Requirements" where I interviewed 54 business schools about their admissions criteria, including the HEC, ESCP and ESSEC.

I asked them questions such as

        • What's the most important criterion for selecting a MIM student?
        • How can a candidate offset a weaker grade?
        • How much is the interview weighted and how can a candidate prepare for it?
        • and many more

and you can read each school's answers fully in my eBook.

This will provide you the best overview on what is expected from you and whyt ou still need to do - and you won't find this first-hand information anywhere else.

        Best wishes
        Thomas

      Hi there,

the process of identifying target business schools and postgraduate programs is very important and takes a lot of effort - provided that you want to make a good decision eventually and avoid ending up in a program that you never wanted.

I am happy to assist you here - but before, I want you to make your own homework first by taking one afternoon in reading my eBook "Business Masters: How you find your Master in Management" first.

Read it carefully, think about it for a day or two, and then start to apply what you learnt in this eBook. You have to identify your own goals and needs, make a realistic assessement of your profile and then investigate for schools. The eBook will give you a structure and guidance. If you have questions after this, I am happy to help out.

I do not invest time anymore, however, if students are not willing to make this small investment and carefully go through my eBook.

      Best wishes
      Thomas
