    sir,
    i'm very glad about your responses n they gave me more information about mim..
    but there are some things in which i was worrying ...

    1. my scores concerned to my education are..
                                                                                  10=85%
                                                                                  10+2=94.9%
                                                                                   b.tech=61%

      i'm planning to take GMAT next year and preparing for it...
      i want to get admit into top universities like HEC paris and ESCP europe etc..
      but my graduation percentage was very low, is there any chance of getting in to these universities?

           2.i've seen that almost all the universities in germany are asking for relevent degree in management,is there any chance of getting in to those unversities, as i was from science back ground
            3.i was solely depend up on the ft rankings, if the unversity has not been placed in ft rankings top 30 list,then in my view it was not the best,is my view wrong? if it so then is there any university which are best even though they r not placed in ft rankings i don't want particular specialisation but give me better package at the end and make me grow.....

      Hi there,

      thank you for your message.

      As for your first question, I can't evaluate the numbers that you send me - but in general, you are right: Top schools require top academic results in the undergraduate studies. If the results are what they are and if there is no way that you improve them, then maybe an excellent GMAT score can be helpful.

      A great GMAT score (650+) often is a proof to business schools that you have the intellectual capabilities they are looking for. If you then have a good reason for your rather average grades in your academic studies so far.... maybe you can get in. I cannot guarantee you this but I would like to help you understand the logic of the schools and what you can do to improve your chances.

      Overall, keep in mind that there are many business school out there - and not becoming accepted at a so-called top schools doesn't mean that you can't get acceptance at a good school. My advice: Prepare well for the GMAT and even consider to do it again if you are not happy with your score.

      As for your second question, I found 17 schools with fulltime MIM programs that are not focussed only on people with a first academic degree in business. Click here to get the full Master in Management list.

      As for your last question, please have a look on our interview with Dr. Martin Boehm vom IE Business School about why even top schools may not be in the FT Ranking. By the way, the IE made it into the ranking meanwhile. In general, not being in the ranking doesn't mean that a program is not good. There may be trivial reasons, for instance that the program is too young.

      Best wishes
      Thomas
