Picking references

    Hello everyone,

I am a French-Egyptian student planning to apply for MiM for the 2015 intake. I gave my GMAT last year and got 710, my GPA is 3.41/4.00 (BSc. Architectural Engineering). I have been working for about 9 months most of which in a top 20 multinational contracting firm. I was involved in extracurricular activities for 4 consecutive years (5 year degree) mainly in the student union, student senate, student associations, on campus journalism and chairing the committee responsible for allocating and managing the student activity fees on student organizations.

I am planning on applying to the following schools:
HEC, ESCP, EMLyon, SKEMA and Audencia (SAI)
    EDHEC
    Essec
    London Business School
And still researching Plan B schools in case my GPA doesn't cut it.

The dilemma I am facing at the moment is in selecting references. I spoke to many of my professors and all accepted to be my references. Now the issue is that I need to choose between professors who taught me multiple time but in engineering and architecture classes and those who taught the sparse business classes (accounting, entrepreneurship) which I took as electives over the years. So my question is: are schools more interested in someone who is familiar with me or someone who knows me in a less comprehensive way but has a relevant opinion by virtue of teaching business classes?

I would like to thank you in advance for any input and wish everyone the best of luck with their respective applications.

    Cheers

In "someone who is familiar with me".

      Best wishes
