My background in international oil and gas spurred my desire to learn more about international business and management. As I needed a well-rounded finance, accounting, and management background I thought MA in Management at Durham Business School was an ideal programme. I also chose the School because I valued its excellent academic reputation, a collegiate system and multicultural environment.

The MA in Management programme has perfectly satisfied my needs and it has been an unforgettable year of discoveries both academically and personally. The diversified modules in business management helped me to build profound knowledge in various areas of business. The modules taught me to understand the nature of strategy and the processes of strategic decision-making in a turbulent and dynamic global environment.

Besides the excellent programme design, the lecturers and professors are equipped with both strong academic and rich practical experience in their specialist areas. Their guidance and sharing gave me a real insight into the business world.

Durham is the perfect place to study. The picturesque setting and scholarly atmosphere of the city make studying there more exciting. You can find a quiet place to study when you need to, or somewhere more vibrant when you want to party. Also I was a member of Ustinov College, which is for postgraduate students. It was very exciting to be a part of the College and be involved in the numerous activities that they organised.

I think Durham's most lasting impact for me will be the network of friends I created, as well as the confidence I have built in my own capabilities and the realization that nothing is unachievable. Through Durham Business School I acquired the tools that will enable me to be successful in my career.
