What shall I do after my undergraduate degree?
Quote from Johnny99 on 22/09/2024, 1:02 pmHi there, I got my bachelor of arts recently. Now I have two options: First, I may go for a Master in Management - or, second, I may apply for a job, work a few years and zhen do the MBA. Which option is better for me? Thanks!

Quote from Thomas Graf (Admin) on 22/09/2024, 1:04 pmThank you for your question! There may also be a third option: Do the Master in Management now, start working for for 3, 5, 7 or 10 years and do a Master of Business Administration then, whether a full-time MBA, a part-time MBA or an Executive MBA.

Quote from Thomas Graf (Admin) on 22/09/2024, 1:24 pmMy general recommendation is: Make your decision on what you need and want NOW.
- If you like studying and are interested in the area of management, consider doing a MIM now and start working after that. Then, year by year you can ask yourself if you need a practically-oriented, international, and prestigious management education such as the MBA. You can do that after a couple of years, for instance, when your HR department tells you that an MBA would be a precondition to get promoted. Or you can do that after 10 years (then you'd choose an Executive MBA) when you wish to increase your network with other established managers (your EMBA classmates).
- If you have great job opportunities now and are not super eager on studying, then why not starting your career now ande consider an MBA later?
