WHU Otto or HHL for MIM

  • Posted by - thomas.graf - on 20 June 2019 - 3:29pm

    Hi there,

thank you for reaching out. One way to approach this question and to find a solution is the procedure that I suggest in my eBook Business Masters - How you find the best Master in Management or MBA. Instead of relying your final decision on rankings, you try to find out which of the two schools/programs helps you achieve your goals more.

For this, I decide between career goals:
What do you want to do after the MIM? E.g., Do you want to work in an investment bank, then on which campus do investment banks recruit?

    and experience goals:
What do you want to experience during the program? Do you want to have international classmates around you? Do you wnat to have internationmal professors? Do you want to have an exciting city or prefer quietness with outdoor trips etc.?

Finally, I recommend to include your resources (tuition fees, your savings, etc.) into the equation - and based on this overall analysis your make your decision.

In my eBook, I provide you with a step-by-step approach how to analyze your goals and compare programs. I hope it helps.

    Best wishes,
    Thomas

    Hi guys!
I have been accepted into both WHU Otto, Vallendar and HHL, Leipzig.

I'm really confused regarding which one to pick up. I'm concerned about WHU because of it's kind of not so happening location. At the same time HHL is a really good college but it's ratings are not as good as WHU.

I'm an Indian and going there with an intension of getting a job there. Which college would you suggest me to pick and why?

Thanks in advance for your help!
