BUSINESS SCHOOL CHOICE

  • Posted by - ann13240 - on 3 May 2012 - 8:18pm

    Hi,
I am having trouble choosing between 2 master programs, which I like a lot.
The first one is CEMS in UCD Dublin and the second one in Strategy and International Business in Aston Business School.
I would like to make a decision based on academics and international student support, can you please help me giving me an insight of how both schools are recognized in the world?

    Many Thanks!!!!

      Dear Ann,

thank you for your message. First of all, I would approach this question from a new perspective: The Aston MSc in International Business is open for graduates of all academic areas. This means that the program needs to lead people with no academic business experience to the area of business. The UCD Master in International Management / CEMS MIM is for people who already have a first academic degree in business or economics.

      FROM THAT PERSPECTIVE:

      1. If you have a first academic degree in business or economics I would go for the UCD Master in International Management / CEMS MIM because it builds on your knowledge and you don't waste time by repeating courses that you already had in your undergraduate studies.

      2. If you do NOT have a first academic degree in business or economics you can't study the UCD Master - so the Aston would be your choice.

There are other criteria to consider of course. But maybe this approach already solves your problem.

      Best wishes
      Thomas
