MiM vs MBA with reference to work experience.

    Hello,

the MBA is a program for professionals - the MIM is a program for graduates.

With an MBA, you advance your career - with the MIM you start your career.

Employers recruit MBA graduates on the campus for advanced positions - employers recruit MIM graduates on the campus for starter positions.

MBA classes profit from the mutual work experience of the students - MIM classes don't have this advantage.

MBA programs, on average, are more expensive as they target professionals you had the chance to earn anmd save money.

Forget about the MBA now and follow the key advice of my eBook "Business Masters - How you find the best Master in Management or MBA":

    • If you have a good job offer now (and no other reasons to do a Master), consider accepting it and think about more education in a few years.
    • If you don't have a good offer now, go for more education (e.g., the MIM). In 3 years and beyond, consider more education as for instance the MBA or seminars etc.

Here you find more info on the difference between MBA and MIM

    Best wishes,
    Thomas

I am doing my undergrad right now, I don’t have any work experience.
Question- What is more suitable for me just after finishing my UG, MiM or MBA?
Also as per my research 'good Bschools require work exp. to get into their MBA programs, is that right? If yes then I believe, MBA from a good Bschool is almost impossible, right?
    Hope you would help.
    Thank you in advance.
