Does universities accept 3 years bachelor's degree for admission?

    Hi,

I'm pursuing my bachelor's degree from University of Delhi (India). I wanted to know does universities accept 3 years bachelor's degree for admission because i just checked Imperial college business school website. It says they don't accept 3 year bachelor's degree. Is it true for all universities?

I have one more question. I'm above average student. I'm within the top 20% of my class as per the grades till now. If I want to join Manchester Business School which requires no Gmat or GRE. What are my chances as I don't have anything except a good academic background.
Can I do something which sets me apart from others? Does volunteering or internship makes admission easier?

        Hi there,

I contacted Manchester Business School - please find there answer below. They also recommend you to contact them directly with you specific question. You can do that via our School Contact page.

*"At Manchester Business School, we see that many of our students decide to study their Masters courses straight from their bachelors degree. In terms of our entry requirements, we would normally look for a first or upper second class honours degree from a UK University (2:1) or grades that are the overseas equivalent. As well as their academic transcripts, we ask students to submit other supporting documents to take into consideration. These include:

        • a statement of purpose outlining their motivation for choosing the course
        • two academic references
        • English language test result (if a student has not studied at university in an English speaking country)
        • CV if you have worked for two years since graduation.

Academic background is a key criteria as the selection process is competitive and we receive around 10,000 applications each year across all of our courses.

We will look at a student’s work experience, but it wouldn’t necessarily compensate for academic grades that are below our requirements. If students are able to take part in an internship or volunteer, this will be very valuable once they graduate and looking for employment as they will be gaining another set of skills that recruiters look for."*

Manchester Business School also accepts a 3 year bachelor from the University of Delhi, as my contact person there just confirmed. Also, IE Business School accepts 3 years. Now you have examples from three great schools - so there is no reason to be afraid that your bachelor is not sufficient, even though some scholols may not accept it.

      Hi there,

that's definitely not true for all universities. Check for instance the HEC Master in Management - it requires a minimum of 3 years...
