Applying for MIM in final year of graduation

    Hello,

I cannot tell you if this is "enough" as this depends on the expectations of the individual business schools. I do consider these activities as worth mentioning in your CV and in the interview, however - particularly, your activities as camous ambassador.

    Hello thomas,
I am currently pursuing my final year of bachelors graduation and would be finishing my course by March 2014. I am interested in applying for the MIM programmes in various European countries . I want to join the course by next fall , i.e august 2014, but the admissions open up from october this year. My query is regarding the transcript of records and my bachelor degree while applying for these colleges. As I am still in my final year, by the time I apply, I wont be having my final degree. Is the latest transcript of records and the gmat score enough to apply and then later when I complete my degree by march, can i send them the final degree and transcript of records?

      Thanks thomas,
But I have another query, is it a management course only for bachelors without management background or is the course helpful for people who have done bachelors course in management prior to this course. I am a little confused, because some b schools ( mainly in UK ) , the mim programmes are strictly for non-management background people while non- UK schools alllow from any field. Right now i am doing bachelor in business administration(BBA), thus i am a little apprehensive about taking up this course, as I am left with no other choice as I can't do an MBA, as I need 3-4 years work experience requirement.

        Hi there,

in our Global MIM Survey we found out it useful to distinguish even between 4 categories:

        1. Programs that require a first degree in business or economics.
        2. Programs that require a first degree in business or economics but are also open to graduates from SOME other eras (e.g. psychology, sociology, or mathematics).
        3. Programs that explicitly target graduates from non-business areas
        4. Programs that are open to graduates from all disciplines.

In our search engine we only distinguish between the first group (business / economics required) and a second group that includes subgroups 2-4. So, I recommend using this filter "entry requirements" and just search for programs "that do not require business".

        best wishes

      Hi there,

thank you for your question. Don't worry about your situation. It is pretty much the same for most applicants of postgraduate programs that start directly after the undergrads.

All you are required to do is providing your academic records up to the most recent point in time or even calculate an average grade by yourself. Some schools may even ask you to provide an overall self-estimation ("Do you consider yourself as being in top10%, top 20% etc. of your student cohort?"). Just read carefully the application process and the application documents (online) and provide the data you are able to provide.

      Best wishes
      Thomas
