Profile Evaluation (MIM/CEMS)

    Servus Thomas!

    would you be so kind as to evaluate my profile and give me some input?

    I am planning on applying for the MiM CEMS at SSE, ESADE, RSM, Bocconi and WU Vienna (RSM and Bocconi are my preferred schools!)

    -Bsc Business, Economics and Social Sciences (BESC) from WU Vienna, I will very likely be graduating with distinction with a GPA of 3.3, which puts me in the top5% of my school, however my last 150 ects had a GPA of ~3.8!
    -1x Merit Scholarship
    -Rector's List (top 30 students out of 10.000 each semester)
    -worked 16hours a week through my entire studies in an international hotel chain (finance dept)
    -fluent in english, german and hindi
    -my GMAT was somewhat disappointing with 680 (q47 q37) ...i was actually trying to get 7xx but really bombed the verbal...
    -No semester abroad due to my work, but saved up my vacationdays for summerschool at ESADE

      Hi there,

      I don't evaluate individual profiles and the match for schools because (1) it is the student's own responsibility to analyze school profiles and assess his/her own profile and (2) because the student is the only one who can do it properly (knowing personal career goals and preferences).

      Instead, I recommend to invest $ 9 US and read carefully (1) the "MIM Entry Requirement" eBook and (2) the "How do I find the best Master in Management" eBook.

      In the former, I have interviewed 54 MIM programs about their entry requirements and criteria how they select MIM students. In the latter eBook, I describe a methodology how to identify the right program and how to analyze programs regarding the match between student profile and program profile.

      If your programs in the list above are already fixeed for you, then you need to do the analysis-work now. Overall, your profile looks very good to me and you will get acceptance letters from some of these schools I am sure (if not from all). But you should do the analysis-work properly before you apply, in my opinion.
