Our MSc Management Science & Operational Research programme will enable you to analyse complex organizational problems and improve the decision-making processes in industry, business, and the public sector. Graduates from this programme go onto work in various positions (predominantly managers, directors, analysts, consultants, contractors, lecturers and partners). The fees for 2011 are £11,500 (UK/EU applicants), £16,500 (overseas applicants). There are three scholarships of £5,750 each, available to UK and EU students.

Competition for places on this course is strong. Applications for September 2011 entry can be made online; we advise applicants to apply as early as possible. There is no official deadline for applications as we operate a rolling admissions system.

Application procedure: |
The background of students varies but typically includes students with a degree in mathematics, economics, science, engineering, or social sciences. You might be accepted if you have a good arts degree provided that you can prove your strong mathematical ability. The general entry requirements for this course are a first or good upper second class honours degree from a UK university or an equivalent qualification from an overseas university. You must have some prior training in mathematics at A-level or above, e.g. an undergraduate statistics module. Your application will need to demonstrate your interest in, and commitment to, management science and operational research. Furthermore, if English is not your first language you will be required to take a IELTS test or it's equivalent and obtain a minimum score of 7.5. |
