When you decide to study at WU, you´re choosing not only the largest, but also one of the most reputable and well-known universities of economics and business in Europe. The WU faculty is made up of 11 academic Departments and 16 Research Institutes. Strategic emphasis is placed on research in finance, business law, and Central and Eastern Europe, the latter especially through the Competence Center for CEE. WU is well-known for its unique entrepreneurial and collaborative culture, and its truly international spirit. WU professors play key roles as innovators and peers in a variety of scientific communities.
Internationalization has always been one of WU’s strongest assets. WU also hosts the Vienna Graduate School of Finance and its excellent, internationally-oriented PhD program.

Management Masters

Besides several undergraduate programs with Bachelor degrees,WU offers German-taught and English-taught Master programs such as MSc International Management/CEMS, MSc Quantitative Finance, MSc Strategy, Innovation, and Management Control, and MSc Supply Chain Management. Among the German programs, the WU offfers the MSc Management.

Furthermore, the WU offers a PhD program and is affiliated with the WU Executive Academy with its portfolio of MBA- and Executive management education.

The WU Executive Academy trains managers at the highest international level, and its Executive MBA Program has achieved an excellent ranking in one of the most important MBA rankings. Financial Times ranked WU’s Executive MBA 2009 at 41nd place out the 100 best programs worldwide.

European Business School Ranking
In the Financial Times European Business School Ranking 2010, WU came in at an solid 51st place. Only eight German-speaking universities and a total of 75 top business universities qualified for the ranking. The number of higher education institutions offering business programs in Europa is estimated to be above 1,900.

The EQUIS accreditation is without a doubt WU’s most important international quality assurance standard. The limited circle of EQUIS accredited business schools includes only 131 universities in 38 countries (as of June 2011). WU is the largest of the EQUIS accredited schools in Europe, and one of only five accredited universities in the German-speaking world.

AMBA (Association of MBAs) is one of the world’s leading accreditation agencies, alongside renowned institutions such as EQUIS, AACSB and FIBAA.
