MSc in Finance

Description:

The Master of Science in Finance program aims to develop the knowledge and skills required for entering the "big world of finance" and to be a successful first-class specialist or consultant. The program offers challenging courses in all the key areas of finance, from investment banking, corporate finance and advisory to quantitative finance, risk management, derivatives and capital markets.

This foundation enables second year students to choose from among a large number of specialized, technical elective courses to complete a major in their desired field. This selective program has a great reputation among professionals in major investment banks, who regularly come to Bocconi for presentations, recruiting events and lectures in class; it was also one of the first five graduate programs worldwide to be recognized as a CFA Program Partner by the CFA Institute, the world's most important association of investment professionals.

Moreover, students have the opportunity to attend international exchange programs abroad (see Double Degree), interact with professionals and live with other high-profile colleagues who will represent their first network in the future.

It's a rolling basis selection process and the respective results should be delivered to you within 1 month after the respective deadlines (sessions which you choose to participate in).

Please note also that the January selection process is reserved for applicants with a GMAT score of 650 or higher (GRE 760 or higher). Applicants with a GMAT (or GRE) score of less than 650 (or 760) will be evaluated from the following sessions onwards.

  • GMAT or GRE score (GRE is accepted only if you are applying for Economics and Social Sciences and Economics and Management of Innovation and Technology as your FIRST or SECOND choice); the test is a requirement, we cannot accept any applications without it
  • degree requirements/study plan of university program (undergraduate and/or graduate) showing exams passed and exams to be passed, and including the course profiles and marking scale; graduation grade and diploma supplement (if already available)
  • reference letter (optional)
  • motivational letter
  • CV
  • Italian/English language certificate (applicants state the language prerequisite they have when they submit their application, and demonstrate it at the time of finalizing their enrolment (September 2011).
