Description:

Target Group
National and international students with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university or college in Germany or abroad and an excellent academic record. The required bachelor’s degree will usually be in business or economics. Other fields such as industrial engineering, business informatics or mathematics will be considered if your bachelor’s degree consists of a sufficient number (at least four) and a variety of courses in the field of business administration or business economics.

Program Contents

  • 70% Management, 15% Economics, 15% Leadership and Soft Skills
  • If Specialisation is chosen, the Management part contains 20% Logistics
  • An exchange trimester with partner schools abroad
  • An integral 2 to 3 month period of practical training
  • 2 integration projects with problem-based-learning
  • 4 months Master’s thesis

Mission

  • to develop your critical faculties based on scientific methods and insights, to take a multi-disciplinary yet integrative approach and to foster decision-making based on ethical principles
  • to develop your ability to analyze, evaluate, decide, shape and implement business policies, and to apply and assess scientific and practical methods
  • to train your decision-making abilities via problem-based and decision-oriented learning in small groups and via case- and project-based learning
  • to enable students to take on responsibility and exert leadership in an entrepreneurial spirit
  • to understand the theories, principles and practice of logistics and supply chain management (if chosen)

The M.Sc. in Management was accredited by the Foundation of International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBBA). The reviewers also identified two fields of excellence! The scientific qualification of THE KLU lecturers and the amount of foreign languages. Furthermore a large number of criteria were surpassed, e.g. international aspects in general and in the program concept, international lecturers, international content, methods and scientific work, leadership skills, case studies, supervision by lecturers and program management.

  • Completed application form incl. statement of purpose (2 essay questions)
  • Copy of your first degree certificate
  • Copy of university transcript of records
  • Two letters of recommendation from academic referees or industry professionals
  • Proof of your proficiency in English /Copy of TOEFL or IELTS score (if applicable). Please select the institution code 7373 of the Kuehne Logistics University when taking the TOEFL test
  • Curriculum Vitae / Resume (KLU standard form)
  • Copies of the original documents and officially certified translations into English
  • Proof of knowledge of business administration fundamentals
