Aston University is made up of four departments: Aston Business School, Engineering and Applied Sciences, Life and Health Sciences, and Languages and European Studies. Its origins go back to 1875 when a school of metallurgy was founded. Aston University shares the motto with the city of Birmingham: “Forward”.
Aston Business School is accredited for AMBA, AACSB and EQUIS. It offers a degree in European Master in Management thus cooperating internationally with Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität, Munich, and EMLYON European Business School. The other business course on a Master Level is also internationally focussed: MSc International Business.
